Being a bad father or just watching out?

I am a father of two kids, separated from their mother. This would traditionally be my weekend to take the kids, however yesterday they were at UrgentCare and both were diagnosed with Upper Respiratory infections and advanced Bronchitis. After being notified of this I suggested that she keep them home for two reasons. One so that they could rest up and get better and two because I am asthmatic and on the chance that I catch the infection from them am more likely then not to be hospitalized. She called today to say that they were all better, no meds no nothing. I suggested that she still keep them as they were just sick yesterday and could still use the rest and there was still a high chance of them being contagious. Her response was to say that I am a bad father . Does not seeing my kids because they are sick with something that could hospitalize me make me a bad dad?
