I am a father of two kids, separated from their mother. This would traditionally be my weekend to take the kids, however yesterday they were at UrgentCare and both were diagnosed with Upper Respiratory infections and advanced Bronchitis. After being notified of this I suggested that she keep them home for two reasons. One so that they could rest up and get better and two because I am asthmatic and on the chance that I catch the infection from them am more likely then not to be hospitalized. She called today to say that they were all better, no meds no nothing. I suggested that she still keep them as they were just sick yesterday and could still use the rest and there was still a high chance of them being contagious. Her response was to say that I am a bad father . Does not seeing my kids because they are sick with something that could hospitalize me make me a bad dad?

HRT if Mom had cancer?

I am only 32 years old and am possibly having a Total Hysterectomy including Ovaries. I don't want to go into menopause at this age because I know there are health risk, but I feel the surgery is needed. My mom had cancer so I am at an increased risk for it. So would I be able to take HRT if I do have my ovaries removed? Would it be much different than actually keeping the ovaries and my natural hormones? I will discuss this with my Dr, but I am trying to make a decision before I go back to see him next week and I don't want to increase my risk of cancer. Thank you for your help!

With a ulative grade point average of around 3.0, what are the chances of getting into a university like Pepperdine? I commit to and am a part of community services and other organizations. I also am a part of extracurriculars such as newspaper, and other outside school teams. I reviewed the information given on the university's website and found that I am able to participate in the school's soccer, swimming, and water polo teams. I have not taken the SAT or ACT yet but have taken the PSAT and received a score of 1540. I am currently not taking any AP courses this year but will do so my senior year. I will be taking two AP cles. I currently live in California but I do not know of anybody from my school who has ever applied to Pepperdine. However, I know of many who have received full four year scholarships for sports and are planning on attending the university. I do not believe anybody in my cl will apply. Question about new steam boiler..?

My parents are having their steam boiler replaced, because there is a leak (steam). Their house was built in 1914. I don't know anything about boilers, and neither do they. They were quoted $7,5000 for a new steam boiler. Does that sound right? They need to heat approximately 2,200 sq ft. The BPU (or is it BTU??) is 100,000 or 200,000. I ran out of oil and got it refilled but i cant get the boiler to turn on how do i do that?

Locate the oil line from the tank and follow to the boiler. The oil line will travel into the pump which is attached to the burner. Where the line goes into the pump. There should be a small fitting on the top side of the pump that you'll have to loosen to let the air out. I always attach a small hose to this fitting about 1/4"-3/8" diameter and direct the other end into a clean empty coffee can. Now loosen the fitting(do not remove the fitting completely, this will cause a mess) and press the red reset on and be ready to tighten the fitting back up once all the air comes out and the oil runs true and uninteruppted for about 5 seconds. When you satified that you have all the air out quickley tighten the fitting and the burner should fire right up. Depending on how far the boiler is away from the tank or how much air is in the line you may have to do this a couple times to get all the air out because the pump will only run so long before it shuts it's self off because no flame was detected. When you tighten the fitting be ready for a big whoosh noise once the oil actually ignites. Whatever oil you collected in the coffee can, you can just pour back into the tank.

How do u make chicken stew using leftover chicken?

Depending on how much chicken you have....then Boil the chicken (2-4 pieces) in in a soup pot with about a quart and 1/2 to 2 quarts of water, (it needs to cover the chicken by about 2 inches minimum) adding in chopped onions, celery, and carrots. (You may add different veggies, but the basic flavor and basic stew contains onion,celery and carrots )We like lots of veggies, so I use about 1 cup of each for that amount of water. Season with Salt and Pepper. If you like potatoes in your stew then chop and add one or two. Cook up until the veggies are soft, then remove the chicken to a plate to cool. Chop when cool and return to the pot. Often I will add a can of chicken stock to pump up the stock, or I use the dried chicken bouillon version very successfully. If you use the bouillon then omit the salt, and or taste it before you add the salt. Add in a pinch of nutmeg, just enough to barely barely taste. Too much and you ruin the stock. You can thicken this pot of soup with either Instant Potatoe Flakes, or flour mixed with water (as you would for a gravy). The amounts of the flour depend on how thick you like your stew. Try 1/3 cup flour and 1/4 cup water, and add wate rto that to make it just pourable, into boiling soup. Stir as you pour to avoid lumps.This needs to cook for about 4 minutes to cook the flour to avoid the pasty floury taste. Adjust the seasonings to your taste.

I know since windows XP or Vista at least, Windows has been able to open ZIP files as if they were just a folder. Why has my dog gone from very beta and pive to an aggressor that starts fights?

I have two 1.5 year old male siberian huskies. I am the one that typically cares for both of them (walks, food, brushing, cleaning, play, obedience, discipline) but I was out of town for 2 months and my livein boyfriend cared for them while I was gone. Since I have returned, they have had several fights (only one resulting in blood) and sometimes multiple fights a day. I recently brought a new foster home(1 year old male siberian) and they are constantly fighting, which has never happened before. All of the dogs are neutered. Lots of spiders near my house?

I'm very arachnophobic and have been for a long time. A close-up photo of a spider can put me on edge for hours, and I start feeling like they're on me, it's just very, very, inconvenient. For a couple of days I've been aware of a trio of spiderwebs on the branches of a tree near my house. I wasn't concerned about it, but it was on my mind. Today I saw a fourth web on a different tree, further away but still near the house (I'm not in a suburb, mind. I'm surrounded by woods on three sides and a field on the other.) Then when I got back inside, there was another spider in the kitchen. Any of these things alone I wouldn't mind, but all of this together is making me wonder about the sudden abundance. Student loan collection agency help!!?

Okay... so here's my problem, two years ago I went to college for about a year, I started to lose motivation when I was about 1/4 done with getting a degree, so I just quit school and started working, about a year ago I joined the National Guard to pay for my future schooling and also to get the tuition from my previous school payed for, which my recruiter told me it would be payed for, IE: I gave him the promisary note of the loan, all the paper work, etc. And he told me it would all be payed for, so I figured it was good and a couple of months later I was went to basic training/ OSUT for 21 weeks, I just got home 2 weeks ago. What happened is the Nat Guard never payed for any of the loans, because that program was not available when I joined the guard, so my recruiter didnt tell me the truth. Both of my parents were there while he took the paper work, promisary note, etc. My fault for not looking over my contract, 100% my fault and I don't even blame the recruiter. I wish he would have told me they would not have payed for the existing loan, thing is I still would have joined, but I would have set up payments with the loan company! Now what has happened is that they have turned me and my dad (co-signer) into a collection agency... over a 150 dollar payment that was missed! I went from being happy that I was home to feeling depressed. It sucks talking to your dad about meeting for christmas and then having to tell him this. They turned me into the agency about 3 days before I got home, so I already paid the 150 dollar balance as well as a big portion of the principle. I don't really care about them upping the payments or the late fee, I just want to know if there is any way to have my fathers name removed from the collection agency, it's not his fault, he trusted me to take care of it and I let him down. So now he's feeling like **** and I'm going to try and do something tomorrow. I also don't know what having my name turned into a collection agency will do to me, like I'm not even sure if I'll be able to rent a place. My credit was alright before hand I guess, I have a credit card which I would charge about 100$ a month to and pay it off fully within 4 or 5 days of using it. Any advice or suggestions would be much I'd like to get my dads name cleared if at all possible, and know the negative effects I will suffer, I'd really like to know if I'll be able to rent, take out a loan in the future, etc, while my credit has this blemish on it. Will carpeting the hardwood help with soundproofing?

Hi, I live in a lower flat and rent out my upper flat. When I moved in, the unit was empty, and likewise, I had no idea how loud the upper unit noise would be. The worst is the squeaking under the wood floors...it is a little better in the carpeting areas, but not too much better. That said, I previously refinished two of the main rooms with beautiful hardwood. It has helped me to attract nice tenants and I imagine it will help with resale. Still, any time I am between tenants I think about carpeting it (like now) as the noise is truly unbearable. However, now that I am at that point, I worry about doing it as in the long run, it may not help too too much. So, is there anything else I can do? I thought of perhaps having the boards tightened (re-nailed down) but it has been hard to find someone to do that. Then, if so, I could require area rugs in the wood areas. Thoughts, ideas, is there a better way to go?

First, draw a diagram. With tangent, it's opposite/adjacent. So those two are in. And cosine is adjacent/hypotenuse, so you get that. After that, it's a simple matter of using the diagram to find the others. For example, sin is opposite/hypotenuse, so it would be (sqroot of 35)/6. Replacing Pajero should i get another 4x4 or VW Caravelle?

I am looking to replace my Mitsubishi Pajero and would like some advice. Our beloved Pajero has died and we need to get another LARGE vehicle to replace it. We have 2 dogs, one is an Irish Wolfhound weighing over 11 stone! We need a vehicle that is able to carry at least four people and our two dogs comfortably. Having done some research and sat in a few vehicles we have narrowed our search to a long wheelbase 4x4 or a VW caravelle. We live in the UK and our looking at secondhand vehicles with a maximum budget of �5k. The car would not be used daily and will mostly be used locally with the occasional long motorway drive. Living in the country a 4x4 has been useful in bad weather but the cool factor of a VW appeals!! Our main concerns are reliability, and running costs. We would only consider getting a manual diesel vehicle and like everyone wants it to last forever!! I like the look of a Nissan Patrol or Isuzu Trooper so far. I didn't buy it but I have smelled it. It's hard to compair it to other scents but I can tell you what it's like. It's fruity and sweet so basically you would only want to put a light amount of it on you. It would best be used at parties and fun events. Another perfume that is a completely different one than the Gwen Stefani one is Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana; you can wear that one with almost anything. But to finish this up I do suggest the perfume big time :D

I am all electric with storage heating and I pay �70 per month throughout the year, obviously don't use the heating in the summer months but still have to pay the same amount to balance out the more expensive winter months but that is �840 per year so how can your possibly be �10,000 for a few years, it would take be 11 years to use that amount? What they are doing by adding any arrears onto your bill is correct but surely they do not expect you to pay �10 per day in electric? I would contact them and find out if the amount they are charging is the correct amount and ask them why they are doing this if you paid your bill? Good Luck

Internet question about having satellite internet connection?

So does anyone else have problems with their satellite internet connection? Mine can be real slow sometimes as bad as dial up. Sometimes I can't even watch you tube videos, even hitting the pause on doesn't help and I looked into that speed bit program but it was an exe file and I know they can carry spyware and stuff. With video sites like youtube I've noticed works more in the mornings but not always, sometimes it seems to be the site itself but I'm not for sure. A friend of mine said living near a government base or army base could have interference, I wasn't sure of that. I use hughes internet service, any suggestions about making satellite internet faster, or ideas of a better service, I don't live where there is cable or dsl.
