Would the media follow the Casey Anthony Case intensely if it wasn't for the fact that she is so attractive?

Same thing happened with Scott and Lacey Peterson, both attractive people. Plenty of ugly people are murderers and are murdered, but they don't seem to get the same media attention as the attractive people.
