Help! Can u give me some advice, i want my kids back?

I WANT CUSTODY WHOM I LOST TO THEIR FATHER SOME YEARS AGO DUE TO A ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. IM LEGALLY DIVORCED FROM HIM. THEIR FATHER HAD THEM TAKEN AWAY BY 241 KIDS AND NOW WE R AWAITING TO SEE IF THE POLICE FILE CHARGES AGAINST HIM FOR CHILD ENDAngerment. 241kids wont even listen to me. my kids father has ual allegations on him from a minor but im trying to get them away from him but he slimes out of it all cause hes a good conman and the lil bit of money i had saved went to get me out of his illegal cons so im trying to find a cheap lawyer or probono, can u help me with some advice please?
